Green Valley Ranch Is Bringing Back Its Poker Room

Live poker is returning to Green Valley Ranch for the first time in five years.
Station Casinos confirmed this week that it plans to reopen the poker room at its Henderson resort by the end of 2025.
The decision is part of a broader $200 million renovation underway at the property, which includes updated rooms, suites, and meeting spaces. The poker room will return to its original location near the sportsbook.
A Poker Room Locals Didn’t Forget
Green Valley Ranch closed its poker room during the pandemic in 2020 and, like many casinos across Las Vegas, kept it closed long after restrictions were lifted. The space was repurposed as a smoke-free slot area, and for years, there were no plans to bring poker back. But, as demand kept coming in from regulars, that all changed.
“The decision to bring back poker was driven entirely by demand,” said Ken Janssen, Vice President and General Manager of Green Valley Ranch.
Station Casino’s announcement didn’t include an exact reopening date, but the company confirmed that the room would launch with special giveaways and a tournament.
What the New Room Will Offer
When doors open, the poker room will offer low-stakes games and daily tournaments. Players can expect no-limit hold ’em, pot-limit Omaha, Omaha hi/lo, and fixed-limit hold ’em.
The new setup will include 16 tables – fewer than the 22 it held pre-2020, but a clear upgrade from the zero options currently available in Henderson for round-the-clock poker.
Skyline Casino, the only other poker spot in the area, runs a small two-table room with limited hours. So, for local players who’d rather avoid the Strip or the drive to Summerlin, Green Valley Ranch fills a gap that’s been empty for years.
