Yeah, I almost put it down but I've never thought of using it. I could have also listed "SMD" or the like, but refrained. :)

Oh, another thing. A "trophy" is a comment (like "SMD" or "DIAGF") that you get when you make a leveraged/ICM/otherwise proper strategic play, but with a shit hand, get called, and win anyway. I have a bunch of them, LOL.

Some of the things I use when talking with Jen and others when talking poker:

HBL: High Blind Limp. Generally when a player limps in at 40/80 blinds or higher... even 30/60.

HBMR: High Blind Min-Raise. Same idea, expect he makes a 2x raise.

    CFC: Can't Fold A Chair, call-station in a sense.

BAM: Bad At Math. Use this in notetaking usually when a player folds despite getting sick odds.

    B: Button
CO: Cutoff, or one position earlier than the button
HJ: Hijack, two ahead of button
CP: I call the 3rd seat ahead of the button Center Position, still generalized as mid-position (MP)
MP: 4 seats ahead of button
EP: 5 seats ahead of button
UTG: 6 and 7 seats ahead of button (I usually play 9-handed tables though).
    SB: Small Blind
    BB: Big Blind

POB: Post Oak Bluff (or donk bet)
    ATC: Any Two Cards

DLOMBB: Don't Limp On My Big Blind. Usually a shove or raise from the BB when its folded to the SB, who limps. Effective near bubbles or against scared/weak players.

    FFS: For Fuck's Sake
    FML: Fuck My Luck
    FMR: Fuck Me Running
    WTF: What The Fuck
    GFY: Go Fuck Yourself

OK, I have a potty mouth. Sue me. I don't chat much so I never get to use them. :)

ICS: "It's Called Saturday (Sunday)" I have a post about where this came from on my blog. Generally it refers to some sort of play by a random donk that makes no sense. Ask Jen about it, she thinks its great. :)

RRR: (Re)Raises Are Real (usually some nit)
    BRR: Bets Are Real

    ICM: Independent Chip Model

BF: Bubble Factor. Introduced in the book "Kill Everyone", its use is very much like ICM. Google it for a better explanation. Generally its a rating of how to adjust your required odds for calling bets in MTTs/SNGs in relation to stacks sizes and bubbles for payouts.

#x: A raise by a factor of the BB. At 15/30 blinds, a 3x raise would be 90.

PM: Pot Mash. A player bets/raises by simply hitting the "pot" button. Preflop this is a 3.5x raise if the player is opening the betting.

    BR: Bankroll
    BI: Buy-In

ROI: Return On Investment. It is your total profit (loss) divided by amount spent in BIs and expressed as a percentage.

    ITM: In The Money
    GP: Games Played

When describing the games I play I'll use some abbreviations also. A $22 turbo sit-and-go I will shorthand as a 22T SNG, with the 22 being the buy-in, the "T" meaning turbo, and SNG for sit-and-go. Here's some I can think of offhand:

SNG: Sit-and-Go, or STT: Single Table Tournament
MTT: Multi-Table Tournament, usually one that starts at a scheduled time
MTSNG: Multi-Table SNG, one that starts when a certain number of players have registered. I will usually just use "x#" instead to indicate how many runners is in the MTSNG. A $12 turbo 45-man SNG would be 12Tx45.

    T: Turbo
    R: Rebuy
B: Bounty, or KO for Knockout (depends on the site's usage)
    ST: Super-Turbo or HT: Hyper-Turbo
    DON: Double or Nothing
    TON: Triple or Nothing
Q: Rush (I use Q for "quick" since R is rebuy, LOL)
    DS: Double Shootout
    TS: Triple Shootout
    Sat or Satty: Satellite
    6 or /6: 6-max
    HU: Heads-Up
    X: Matrix
    PS: Poker Stars
    FT: Full Tilt
    UB: Ultimate Bet
    AP: Absolute Poker
    DR: Doyle's Room
    BG or DOG: Bodog
    Car: Carbon Poker
Cake: Cake, LOL... its short enough.

These can often be used together. On Full Tilt there is a $17 super-turbo knockout rush tournament. When I put that in my notebook I would write "FT #XXX 17STKOQ", with the "#XXX" being the last three numbers of the ID number Full Tilt gave it. I usually don't put "MTT" behind it since I know what it is. I will use "SNG" if I play a couple amongst all my MTTs.

When describing hands, I just use the letters and numbers you find on the cards. So, KJ is a King and a Jack. If they aren't suited I'll use an "o" behind it for "offsuit" (KJo) and if suited I'll add a lower-case "s" (KJs).

I will often be more specific and use "s" for Spades, "h" for Hearts, "d" for Diamonds, and "c" for Clubs. So 76d would be the 7 of diamonds and the 6 of diamonds. AhKc would be the Ace of hearts and the King of clubs.

Also, I'll use T for 10 (as in QTc), its easier. When using a random card I use X. So AXo would be an Ace and a random non-ace, offsuit. For pocket pairs I'll just say 77 for a pair of sevens or "PP" for a general sense.

When describing flops I might put an "r" for a rainbow, or 3-suit flop. So a flop of the Ace of clubs, Jack of diamonds, and 2 of hearts would be AJ2r. If the flop was all hearts I would put the "h" behind it (AJ2h).

Whew. Can't think of anything else at the moment. Oh, one other thing.

    Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!: Something good happened. :)

Adding a few that I've used today.

    PE: Pot Equity
    FE: Fold Equity
UT: Ultra-Turbo. Similar to ST (on FT and DOG) or HT (used on PS)
