So lets get on and learn this game and give me the 65% skill that i need.

    Good luck all
Hi Jeffrey, welcome to the site.

The luck/skill debate really just depends on how long the game lasts. If you think of poker as one long game, as you should, then poker is mostly a game of skill.

    I have a question. Does a pair of A's and 5's best a pair of 10's and 8's?

Hi Emmie. The answer is yes, aces and fives beats tens and eights. When two or more players share the same hand rank (i.e. two pair) the highest pair counts first.

    Hi everyone,

I am quite abashed at starting poker. I played a bit, many years ago as a student. I want to activate my mind a bit more and as I believe that you all are really super people, I am saying "hi" from England.

I hope that you all can have patience with me!

Wishing you all the best hands ever!!

    Till next time.

Hi Mahmoud, welcome to the forum. You must be our first member from Lebanon.

PokerStars is probably your best option:

Hello everyone, new to the forum. Just poking around, seems very nice. I been a regular tournament player/cash player for about 10 years off and on. Looking to dedicate some serious time into tournament play this year 2013 and figure I better up my game.

I've also been thinking of new ideas to improve my game and reading a lot.

    Thanks, Dennis (South Florida)

Welcome, Dennis. Remember Yogi Berra? Is it really the same view all over again? As sled dogs say, "Unless you're the lead dog the view never changes."
To the true gambler, money is never an end in itself, but simply a tool; as language is to thought.
