    Default Two Beautiful Flops

At my Friday night home game...

I have KQ in the BB. There were 4 limpers and I was going to raise, but I opted to check. The flop comes...

SB checks, I check, UTG bets, call, call, call, I call.

    The turn comes...

I check, UTG moves all-in, fold, fold, SB calls for 60% of his stack. I then put him all-in. They both flip over JT and I bust both of them for a monster pot.

Yesterday I played an APAT event. When I played one of these events last month I flopped a straight flush. It wasn't as good this time, but I flopped quads...

At the end of the first level (25/50) the guy to my right, who was a rock, made it 200. I called with JTs. The flop came...

He c-bets 300. I call. The turn is x, and it's check/check. The river is a 9 and he checks. I bet 1k and he thinks for a while and calls, showing 99 for the house.

Yes, this is a brag post. But FWIW I didn't cash in the APAT event. Note to self: don't resteal in the BB when the villan has AA.

Nice, nothing like flopping the nuts and having someone bet into you.

It is great when you get a hand like that.

For me, with three of a kind on the board, it's very hard to believe someone else has the case card.

Once in a casino cash game, I had Q6 in the BB, and the flop came QQ6. The turn was another Q-- and the river was another 6! We all had a lot of money in front of us. I thought if I shoved, I might catch either a pocket pair higher than sixes, or even get a call by someone thinking I was trying to buy the board. And that's exactly what happened-- my single caller said he thought I was bluffing.

But one of the other guys told me he wouldn't have called if he held 66 in his hand!

It doesn't happen very often, but yes.... it doesn't get any better than that!

I particularly liked the KQ hand as I was going to apply a limpers tax pre-flop. The turn was just beautiful, just beautiful.

Poker can be such fun sometimes.

lol np. As I said, I was 99% sure I was ahead going into the flop. At least I got a sweat card on the turn.
