Such a big bet took me somewhat by surprise. I was pretty sure I was ahead but opted to just call and see what he`d do on the turn . . .

As played? Now I check and hope like hell he tries to bluff. Since I'd have called a bet if he made one I'm not going to worry about him hitting a magic 3-outer or something. I'm looking to give this guy one more chance to spew his chips to me. If he checks, I'll shove the river.

I'm electing this route because I don't see any draws from the flop... that's as dry as it gets. I think we are either way ahead or way behind but since my plan was to go with what I have against this villain I'm going to continue with that plan and get my chips in eventually.

Yeah he played that strangely; limp/calls, pot bet, check/calls all-in. With that sort of betting pattern it's hard to put him on anything. You deserved the suck out. WP.

Yeah that`s why I posted the hand, I was curious to see if anyone here could put him on AQ.

Nope, I'd be less surprised by AK actually... though a lot of AK-limpers would then shove over your raise. AQs is not in the main range I'd have for him.
