    Default limit ring game pace

At Christmas time, I moved up from the 3/6 to the 6/12 limit game at the local card room. I love the change. There are not as many loose players who beat me on the turn and river. There is almost always at least one guy who will chase me all the way to the river and pay off at the end. Nearly everyone pays attention so the pace is brisk. The chips are a different color than the 3/6 game so I feel a little more elite. The effect of the rake is lessened. To sum it up, I have become a winning player, knock on wood. After 100 hours, I average half a bet profit per hour. My tournament play is killing me though so I may cut my tournaments back to one a month instead of two and spend that time on an extra ring game session.

Not sure I understand this...to me it sounds like you are saying there aren't as many loose players sucking out on you but there are loose players calling down who aren't sucking out on you.

Whatever the case, congrats on the upswing

I think he means he is facing more HU situations, whereas before he had to outrun multiple opponents in each hand.

    I think.

It is like Rycky said. After the turn card, it is normally heads up. Its about good hand slection, wise laydowns, and betting on every street when ahead.
