Default Do I Have the Discipline to Lay This Down?

One thing to remember about me right now is that I am hatching a fresh bankroll from scratch and I only have about a buck and a half to work with at the moment. That is why I am grinding the shallow stacked penny tables.

I am relatively new to the table so I don't really have any reads. I decided not to re-raise with AK because if I end up in a flip with one of them it'll be for a big chunk of my stack so I wanted to see a flop and go from there. I flopped top pair but that board texture doesn't make AK look so good. But because it's a penny table they could be betting anything. With that said, would you lay this down?

I would have to call that one. Being such low stakes, the all-in could have anything. But I think your leading the hand or tieing the hand at least. But then you could be drawing dead. I dont like playing such low stakes because of the way people play.

Neither do I but at the moment I don't have a choice. I know how you feel though but these games can be real juicy.

I would buy-in for the max, and always be raising pre-flop to thin the field. But since you haven't done this, and are playing small ball, I guess you can fold. TPTK is probably losing.

BTW, is this an experiement or do you really only have a buck and a half?

What manner of discipline could possibly entice you to lay that down for the 60 cents in front of you? For that matter, why didn't you raise all in preflop?

Out of frustration for the way I've been running on there I took out everything I had left but $5. lol

I challenged myself to build a new bankroll with that money.

My main strategy because I don't have that much to work with is to play more small ball poker. Seems to be going well so far I just can't pick up many hands.

I would have to call here, J10 is likely with everyone calling, but atleast you have backdoor redraws to the nuts.

I think you can fold here. There are a lot of hands that have you in terrible shape, JT, 99. KQ, maybe even K9, Q9, and of course you have a player behind you who led out who might have one of those hands or a flush draw.

So, what happened?

Of course I folded and the shover was called by the original better who had a flush draw against the shover's AK and the flush hit on the turn.

A lot of people can argue that I should have 3bet the AK and in most situations I would have. But because I'm grinding a new bankroll I didn't feel like putting all 60 cents at risk without seeing a flop first.
