In my opinion you can't play with scared money. That's all I'll say.

Of course I folded and the shover was called by the original better who had a flush draw against the shover's AK and the flush hit on the turn.

A lot of people can argue that I should have 3bet the AK and in most situations I would have. But because I'm grinding a new bankroll I didn't feel like putting all 60 cents at risk without seeing a flop first.

I don't know, I realize you would have lost the hand in this instance, but to me, that's backwards thinking.

I challenged myself to build a new bankroll with that money.

My main strategy because I don't have that much to work with is to play more small ball poker. Seems to be going well so far I just can't pick up many hands.
I think you'd be better off putting a bit more into your bankroll, and playing your good hands hard. You're going to lose buy-ins, which is why you need a big enough 'roll.

Personally I'd move up from these games, which would drive me nuts. If you have the discipline to fold for 60 cents, then great. I don't. But the reason for not raising shouldn't be because you're under rolled.

If you've stepped down to this level because of a bad run, it could be simply because of poor bankroll management. Just a thought.

Thanks for the advice and I think you're all right. That could be one thing preventing me from being able to move up.
