As a few other people have said this hand offers incredible opportunities for mind games. Unless the board hits the aces really hard he`s in a lot of trouble. You can lead out and it`s tough for him to call, if he re-raises you and you come back over the top he just can`t call. If you check and he raises you can check-raise. Really there`s nothing he can do unless he wants to play strictly by percentages and jam the flop. Most of the time if he does that he`ll take down the pot but he`s risking a great deal for a pretty small pot.

I don't recall the exact question but if we were in the blinds I wouldn't be surprised if, against the right player, we couldn't "stop and go" him by calling and then simply jamming any non-ace flop, thereby forcing him to make the decision.

Don't know if I have the balls to actually do it but it sure would be fun to try!

Okay, turn it around then. You've got , and you accidentally exposed your cards. He knows what you have, you have no idea what he has. The BB calls and the flop comes

He bets 1/3 your stack. You calling here?

But remember most people, even pros are not folding AA, ever...no matter the texture of the board or the limit of the game. We are not programed to do so. So while you are messing with his head throwing your chips in he is calling you down at minimum and raising you out most of the time.

I would think most pros would be happy to fold aces to a coordinated board against heavy betting and raising.

If you have black aces, bet the proper amount on the flop to give a draw a bad price, get called anyway, and the board on the turn now reads

and you face a big raise, are you not folding your aces?

Maybe, but you are taking a big risk based on the hopes that your villian will make a "good fold" with a hand that is hard to fold in the first place. I think the basic logic of "screwing" with your oppoent in wrong here. Heck using similer logic, maybe everytime I am in the BB with AA I should flash so and hope my opponent wants to mess with me, because my AA is going to win 80% anyway so +ev to me.

Yeah, except that 80% is against a random hand... and the instant you flash your cards, his cards are no longer random, because he has the power to represent anything, and you don't.

I'm no pro, but I've folded aces post-flop more than once.
