i am gonna root for the saints.. although the colts can have it wrapped up easily..
if the colts able score 21 pts in first quarter.. it is over for the saints.. saints need run and pound the ball hard.. keep manning away from the ball it will come down to whos defense spends less time on feild.. |

Once again, I explained it all in my previous post
(and I was right about both championship games)--The fact that Freeney is out (or limited) doesn't change a thing. I don't care how free Brees gets, they won't outscore the Colts in a shootout, period. I know the Saints are the 'sentimental' pick... but come on. We're poker players. We use our heads. We take the play with the highest expected value... not the highest 'wish' value. Going punch for punch, if you're a Saints fan, you don't want to see Peyton Manning with the ball in his hands and less than two minutes to go. Which is exactly what is going to happen. Colts by 7. |

Im going for the Saints. This is there first time ever in a Super Bowl. They have play good all year, so I think their due for the big win. The odds are going for INDY but im sticking with the underdogs.

I'm gonna go with the Colts. The last time the Colts were in the Super Bowl it was also played in Miami and the boys in blue came out on top. I have a feeling they will come out on top once again this year.
GO GO GO COLTS!!! :) |

WHO DAT WHO DAT WHO DAT!!! SAINTS DAT!! I said that the saints had the team necessary to win and brees came up since the second quarter and showed up that hes the man who led the saints throughout the season and gave his A game on the most important game of his life and the franchise!! Glad the saints won they deserve it , they beat 3 though teams Cardinals , Vikings and Colts , they sure deserve to be the champions

I won't comment on the actual game as I don't know enough about it ("doesn't stop you with poker", I hear you say
). But I thought the Who were fantastic! Great show.

I officially eat my words, crow, my hat, gumbo, and anything else any Saints fan today would care to shove down my throat.
If my confidence was misplaced, it was misplaced in thinking my team wanted this win more than the Saints did. I will say this: any team that can take down 5 Superbowl winning quarterbacks in one season (including three future Hall of Famers in a row in the playoffs--Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, and Peyton Manning)-- deserves all praise. The Saints outplayed, outcoached, and outsmarted the Colts. The Saints played to win; the Colts played not to lose. The Saints gambled aggressively-- I don't know how smart that might be in the long term-- (going for it on fourth down, getting stuffed again for no points, an onside kick to start the second half???? If that had failed (which most of the time, it does), Sean Payton would be getting roasted today.)-- what it really comes down to is, the Saints wanted it more, hell-- America wanted it more-- and so, hats off to them. They deserve to be Superbowl Champions. [If the Colts had been more aggressive, and won all their regular season games (which would have been easy, at 14-O with only the Jets and Bills left to play), and with the glory of 'Perfection' on the line, this might have had a different outcome. Maybe.] I was utterly wrong. Congratulations to the Saints and all their fans. They truly deserve it. Last edited by Queso; Feb 8th, 2010 at 10:54 PM. |
