One has to wonder, since Amy Winehouse was such a junkie, if just maybe she ODed just because she was 27. Unbelieveable list of 27 year old deaths. RIP

Sad news, but hardly surprising.
I wasn't really aware of this whole "27 club" in relation to musical artists. But yes, there's some big names in that club; Hendrix, Cobain, Morrison. Some die much earlier though. I'm still amazed that Buddy Holly was only 22 when he died. And Richie Valens was only 17! |

I was playing in a tournament yesterday when I checked Pokerology on my iPhone and saw this post. Beyond sad. She was an AMAZING singer. In fact, the first time I heard "Rehab" was when the video came on TV late one night. I didn't really know who she was at the time, and I had thought it was all very 'wink wink'-- that she was portraying this kind of a character as a joke. I was later saddened to learn it was all true!
BTW, I blame TIME and this post for my subsequent lousy outcome in the tournament. |
