    My left one.

It never seems to know what the right one is doing.

    Any hand I lose with.

In other words, I don't pay attention to such nonsense. I never say "oh no, its AQ/JJ/AK/KQ/WTF again". I just play it the way I feel is best and take the result.

First in with a small pocket pair in a loose passive sit&go before the push/fold stage. I hate folding, limping and raising with them. Live I could maybe rip up my cards to relieve the frustration, but online I'm stuck and have to do something I don't like with this barely playable hand.

It does suck to get dealt 55 with 15BB UTG with no antes in the pot yet. :)

AK. Every time I get dealt that hand I either miss the flop and get beat by some low pair, every time I hit the flop, someone else outflops me or hits their draw on the river. When I get dealt big slick I fully expect to lose money.

    I know, I know...positive EV...self-fulfilling prophecy...superstition...the way I play it...blah, blah, blah. Don't care. That hand HAS IT IN FOR ME :)

    Nope, it's confirmation bias.

I've busted out of tournaments with AK more than any other hand, as I'm sure most people have. But it's still a powerhouse hand.

Got proof, or is this also confirmation bias on some level? :)

I wish there were a way I could find out using my PT3 database... would be interesting to see. I've busted out of enough tournaments, LOL.

I have no proof, but it's not confirmation bias at all. It's a hand that players will frequently go all-in with late in tournaments (and rightly so - because it dominates so many other Ax hands) and since there are sixteen ways for the four Aces and Kings to get together, it makes sense that it's a hand that will frequently be your last.

Not saying it doesn't make sense. It does. But I demand proof that it is for YOU. LOL

Like I said, I wonder if I can look at my PT3 somehow and see how true that is. Your reasoning would certainly indicate that it is very likely though. Most people are going to play AK anytime but can find reasons to dump AQ. Pocket pairs individually do not occur as often. TBH I do not see how you can be wrong.

However, I'd also say that you have won more AIPF hands with AK than any other hand also. In fact, you are likely to be above 50% with it.
