Default UB/AP Going Down!

It doesn't look good if you have money on UB/AP. This is all rumour at the moment but here's the quick lowdown...

* 95% of Absolute's staff has been laid off.
* All equipment removed from Absolute's main office in Costa Rica.
* Memos and emails released saying Blanca Gaming may be filing for bankruptcy in Norway, through a possible shell company formed by the original investors.
* Big rumors from Haley Hintze that UB/AP plan to run out on USA players and give the finger to the DOJ:

Quote:
I expect that non-US players will be allowed some sort of play-through option for their bankroll balances when the remnants of Cereus emerge under a new name, perhaps late this year or in 2012, and we'll probably all be subjected to some "assets sold to XYZ Company" garbage release down the road, which is likely to be untrue. The US players? I think the plan is to let them go whistle to the DoJ for their money, and that this move also represents Absolute waving a certain middle finger in the DoJ's direction.

Default TOTALLY MURPY's LAW!

Someone PLEASE Help!!! My potential rise to greatness began on 4/08/2011 I played a $5.50 MTT sat into a $66 MTT I won that. Then I won the $66 MTT into a $530 MTT and on 4/10/2011 I won that! Note this all happened on UB. As a result I won a $12000 WSOP package. At this time there is a serious chance that I might not get paid by UB as a result of Black Friday! I am looking for someone that might be willing to back me until I get the funds from UB to guarantee my WSOP play this year. I would be willing to give up half and when UB does pay out give the $10000 back either way! So this is really potentially a no lose proposition! By the way you can look me up on pokerpages dot com my name is Timothy Fisher (I go by Don) I won at Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, a $200 event at the RIO and at the Venetian. I can be reached at 603-557-1115

Wow ... that's a good one! I'm sure the boys will be tripping over themselves to forward $10K ASAP.

Sure, somebody needs to be first Patrick. I've decided to be his manager ... you can send the money to my PayPal account. I'll PM you the details.

P.S. Remember, this has the potential to be a no lose proposition!

Default Ha ha ha

You guys are all so funny! Try being in my shoes and have one of the sites owe you real $$ that you can't get! UB owes me $10000!! (They credited the $2000 right before the fit hit the shan!) Without it I have to somehow get lucky and win a second seat or ship another tourney. I just know every time I am at a final tbl at a casino and try to propose a deal there is always some little 22 year old duechebag nerd who says he can't chop because he has an investor in the tourney. Well its my turn! Where are these investors? I won over $100,000 last year! More than $40k of it is on the radar on pokerpages.com so I am looking for someone to put up so I can play in the WSOP main event! I won a seat via UB and now and screwed out of it!

May just be me being cynical but you may find that creating a new account on an online forum and asking a bunch of people there that you don't know and have zero rapport with for $10,000 may not be very successful.

Probably just me though...

Default Your opinion

I know you are not just probably right but very right. I would just like to know where all these alleged investors and backers are! I know I play well and I have been ranting all over the internet because I am PISSED OFF! I won a seat to the WSOP that hard way and now I am getting screwed out of it!

There are people who back players in the WSOP. One of the writers here at Pokerology was backed for the main event last year. It happens all the time. But ranting about your situation isn't going to get you anywhere.

It sucks if you lose out on your seat. I have sympathy for all players who stand to lose money because of the actions of this shady company. Although I have less sympathy for those who knew (pre-Black Friday) about the shady past of this company and still continued to play at UB/AP.

I hope your situation gets resolved. Good luck!
