Default Making Final Tables

Since i started playing online poker a year ago i found that have not been making many final tables as i would like. And is has been reflected on my BR.i usually reach the money in MTTs but my stack is usually low so i have to play just about anything and hope to get lucky.I think it is due to the fact that i play most hands abit scared once their are draws on the board.I believe I does overbet it which in turns runs away the players from the hand and i win the min. for my monster hands. The reason i do this is because players always seems to drawout on me and i end up losing a huge pot at the end.My ? is how do i get over this fear of begin drawn out on and bet acordingly.

This sounds the opposite of the hand I posted yesterday. You want people to call you, and have to be prepared to get sucked out on. The key is giving them incorrect odds, and profiting on their mistakes - over the long term. It sucks when you get outdrawn, but it's part of poker.

What buy-ins are you playing and how large is your bankroll?

Good advice, Tim. I remember in a reply to one of my posts, you made a key distinction about not betting to 'get rid of the draws', but instead to give them a bad price and hope they continue. That's made a big difference in my own approach since then... my thinking has moved from wanting them to fold, to wanting them to call. And that puts me back on the offensive.

Thanks. Just don't use that knowledge against me, okay?

Stay away from the big MTT, to much varience in those, try 180 man or less SnGs and single table SnG. If on Poker Stars play double or nothing tourneys. These give you the best opportunity.

Like Chris said already, stay away from the MTTs for now. The payout is very top heavy for most large (by field size) MTTs. Even if you're the best player in the world, you still have to overcome so many obstacles to make a decent cash. Of course if you're good then you'll cash more than most, and will profit in the long run. But the key point is - the amount of decent cashes will be low, hence the need for proper bankroll management.

Somewhere around 100 buy-ins for MTTs is probably about right, so you're way below that.
