Malfunctioning Memorial Tourney

As most of you know, Malfunctioning was an active member here at Pokerology before he sadly passed away almost 3 weeks ago at the age of just 37. He is very much missed. I know he meant a lot to people here, which was expressed in these two threads:

Missed and loved.

Thoughts Of Mal

Malfunctioning (Chad) took great pleasure in watching his 'ole lady' play poker, which he described as his "Holy Grail of Poker". Here's a quote from that thread:

We previously talked about having a game in his honour. I propose we have a $10+$1 game this Sunday in his honour. The prizepool for this tournament will be transfered to Raisy Daisy so she can continue to play the game that Mal loved so much.

To spice the game up a bit I think we should make this a bounty game. There will be a $5 bounty on the heads of all players who played in the Pokerology Forum League IV. This includes:

1mickey, Busymm, DangerMouse, Dave 'Two Chairs', edwaxx, Elwood, Firelt1, Harald Zone, Jennifear, paddyjim, Queso, Raisy Daisy, RyckyRych, idmtchris, SilentBob, Slim Kenny, The Col, Tim, TIME.

If you knock any one of these guys out (should they be playing) then you get $5 for each KO.

There's also $5 for anyone who wins a pot with 93o. Why 93o I hear you ask? Well Malfunctioning made 930 posts on this forum, and I'm sure he'd get a chuckle out of someone winning a pot with such garbage.

The only question I have is, what time on Sunday can you guys play? I'd like to play before the normal league game at 15:00ET, so I was thinking maybe 13:00ET - is this good for you guys?

Remember, the idea of this game is to give Raisy Daisy a bankroll boost so she can play the game that Mal loved watching her play. I'm sure we'll all have lots of fun in the process - so please make space in your day for this game.

Just so happens that earlier is better for me this time... I might not make the 3pm game. I qualified for the monthly tournament in the bar league I screw around with on Wednesday nights and that is at around 4pm Sunday. Its a bit of a drive this time so I may not go anyway, but I'm keeping options open.

One question though; 'cause I'm so intrigued by the 93o bounty. If any of us raises and shows 93o and collects a pot is that a winner? Or do you have to win at a showdown with 93o?

Any pot won with 93o.... so yeah, you can steal the blinds and as long as you show you had 93o then you get $5. But remember to turn off the auto-muck feature.

I can be there what ever time is fine. I have to remember to shut off auto muck so i can collect with my 93. So it is off suit only correct?
