Default Spotted a tell, what to do?

I've been playing in a game with some friends...just friendly low stake tournaments. It's usually the same group give or take a few, and we've played maybe half a dozen times so far, having fun along the way. Anyway I have done as instructed on pokerology and looked out for tells..one player at a time. I have a great tell on one of my friends (none on anybody else yet). I wasn't sure at first but he's done this same thing a few times now and i'm confident enough to act on when the chance comes. I was thinking...is it right for me to keep this to myself or should I let him know?, you know a quiet word in his ear? This might seem dumb but we might plan on going to some casinos (thinking of a big vegas trip as well) and he's a good friend and I wouldn't want him to get taken advantage of. Or am I being a bit soft for this cut throat game?

Hi Dime. I wouldn't tell your friend about this possible tell, unless it's so obvious that everyone spots. In which case it's probably not as much use to you. If it's a gem of a tell, then definetly keep it to yourself - it could come in very handy.

I wouldn't worry about him being taken advantage of either, since at other venues he'll most likely be playing with strangers, who won't have the same personal history as you've got with him.

One thing though - don't tell everyone at the table you have a tell on him. It's not nice and he won't thank you for it. Keep it to yourself and act upon it when the time is right.

Anyway, what's the tell?

I don't want to say what the tell is as he might read it or someone I know might. And No it's not obvious as nobody else has spotted it yet and he's not a really bad player or anything...quite the opposite. I just thought maybe I should tell him since we're friends and all. But i'll keep my mouth firmly shut for the moment. I guess i'm just itching to tell him though!!

I wouldn't recommend telling your friend about his tell. If your the only one that sees that tell then you shouldn't worry to much if you go on a trip to Vegas. Since you play poker together alot I really doubt anyone at Vegas or any other casino you might go too will notice his tell unless its so obvious.

My personal thoughts would be milk him for every penny.
Just Kiddin.
Just keep it to yourself because you never know if hes got a tell on you.

Guess i am a little nicer than everyone else. I would tell him he has a tell then let him stew on it for a few weeks while I take his money, then offer to tell him what it is for a moderate fee. He is a friend after all.
